Description
Hochsteinriegl, which lies at an altitude of 500m, is one of the best Sauvignon Blanc vineyards in the Sausal, very steep with a pure south orientation and dominated by the red, barren slate soil. Light greenish yellow, in the nose Riesling-like Steinobstanklänge, smoky, yellow pepper, a hint of currant and lemon balm. On the palate, a cool and slim texture, racy acidity, gripping, white currant with a hint of lime, firm dark mineral, some saltiness in the finish.
