The "Guidalberto" was born from the will of Nicolò Incisa della Rocchetta, son of Mario, to try himself also with the merlot. Despite the fact that the Tuscan IGT "Guidalberto" backbone of Tenuta San Guido, born in 2000, remains the cabernet sauvignon, the one not used in Sassicaia, the merlot gives a certain softness and a fruit of great envelopment, thus offering the consumer a product able to be consumed even in youth.
Ruby red, it is characterized by an extremely fine and varied bouquet. Cherry and plum are the notes that introduce floral scents embellished with tones of tobacco and liquorice. In the mouth it is very elegant, a never intrusive tannin and an unexpected freshness support a sip of great composure and reactivity. The finish is also beautiful, of rare persistence.
Elegant and enveloping, the "Guidalberto" is red wine that is enhanced with preparations of great richness. Cappellacci with porcini mushrooms.
