Description
Grape variety and terroir
Exclusively located on hillsides, the vineyard carries a unique grape variety: Chardonnay, the noble grape variety of all the great white wines of Burgundy. Extending in a scarf at the southern end of the Mâconnais, the soils offer a wide variety of substrates, mainly limestone and very diverse exposures according to an extremely fragmented plot.
Food and wine pairings
Appreciated as an aperitif for the pleasure of its tasting, Pouilly-Fuissé is above all a meal wine that perfectly accompanies crustaceans and cooked fish, by its finesse and elegance. Its breadth and generosity on the palate also harmonize with dumpews, white meats or cream poultry. The goat cheeses of the Mâconnais are also partners of choice for the Pouilly-Fuissé in his adolescence.
